Ali MacGraw
Early Life and Career: Elizabeth Alice "Ali" MacGraw (born April 1, 1939) is an American actress, model, and author. She gained prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Initially, she worked as a photographic assistant at Harper's Bazaar and as a successful fashion model.
Acting Career: Her breakthrough role was in the film Goodbye, Columbus (1969), for which she won a Golden Globe Award. She achieved international fame for her starring role in the romantic drama Love Story (1970), which earned her an Academy Award nomination and another Golden Globe Award. Other notable films include The Getaway (1972) with Steve McQueen, and Convoy (1978).
Personal Life: MacGraw has been married three times. Her first marriage was to banker Robin Hoen, with whom she had a son, Josh Evans. Her second and most famous marriage was to actor Steve McQueen, which ended in divorce. She was later married to film producer Evans Evans.
Later Career: After a period of relative absence from acting, MacGraw appeared in several television roles, including a stint on the soap opera Dynasty in the mid-1980s. She also remained active in stage productions.
Activism: In recent years, MacGraw has been involved in various charitable and activist causes, particularly those related to animal rights and environmental conservation. She has also spoken openly about her experiences with addiction and recovery.
